 Course Description:

Auto Technology I (Certified) Course Code 8506 In this first course of the three course program sequence, students learn all aspects of repair, safety, and customer service by concentrating on the four primary ASE/NATEF certified areas: Brakes, Steering and Suspension, Electrical / Electronics, Engine Performance. Students who successfully complete this program sequence will be eligible to take and pass the respective ASE/NATEF exam and will be prepared for postsecondary education opportunities.

Auto Technology II

Suggested Grade Level: 12

Prerequisites: Auto Tech I

 Course Description:

Automotive Technology II (Certified) Course Code 8507 In this second year course sequence, students learn all aspects of repair, safety, and customer service by concentrating on the four primary ASE/NATEF certified areas: Brakes, Steering and Suspension, Electrical/Electronics, Engine Performance. Students who successfully complete this program sequence will be prepared to take and pass the respective ASE/NATEF exam and will be prepared for postsecondary education opportunities. The cooperative education method is available for this course. Students combine classroom instruction and supervised on-the-job training in an approved position with continuing supervision throughout the school year.
